The last two years have been good years for the bruins after signing head coach Jim L. Mora who knows what it takes to lead a team. Mora is a former NFL veteran Coach. He has coached the “Seattle SeaHawks, as well as the “Atlanta Falcons”. In December 2011, it was announced that coach Mora was coming on board the Bruins. Mora’s first season with the team showed to be successful after ranking 9-5 with their loss coming in the 2012 Holiday Bowl. In 2013, Mora and his Bruins came back even more successful, and hungry, improving their ranks 10-3, and this time claiming the victory in the Sun Bowl that same year.
Mora may tell the offense and Defense what plays to follow, but without a quarterback making plays, it’s hard to come up with a win. The UCLA Bruins aren’t seeing too much of this problem with Brett Hundley starting since 2012.
Brett began making a name for himself back in high school, throwing 16 TD passes his Junior year, and beating his own record his senior year by throwing 20. Brett managed to only throw two interceptions in both 2012, and 2013. Some NFL quarterbacks aren’t able to manage such a low number of interceptions.
Since his first start, Brett has proved his professionalism, as well as his athleticism.
Report states that had Brett not returned to UCLA his junior year, he would have been picked up by one of two possible NFL teams interested in him. Brett has so far beaten the odds, and is climbing ladders as a young 21year old African American athlete.
