CLIPPERS RUN OUT OF GAS, FALL TO KINGS

Ontario, Calif., Jan. 19, 2019 – The Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (13-13) were defeated by the Stockton Kings (16-10), 119-103, on Saturday night.

The Kings pulled away in the third quarter, scoring 32 points on 50 percent shooting and holding Agua Caliente to 15 points. They were fueled by a 22-10 run to start the fourth and never looked back.

Marcus Williams led the way for Stockton with a 20 point, 14 assist double-double.

Stockton came out of the gates hot, scoring the game’s first seven points on their way to a 15-4 opening run. However, things would turn the Clippers’ way, as they ended the opening frame with their own 7-0 run to cut their deficit. Agua Caliente built off their momentum in the second, leading by as much as 10 before going into halftime with a 66-57 lead.

The Clippers were led by two-way center Angel Delgado who tallied 21 points to go along with nine rebounds.

Agua Caliente remains at home on Tuesday as they host the South Bay Lakers in the third game of a six game homestand. Tip off is at 7 p.m. PDT inside the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif.
