Fontana, Calif., — The San Bernardino County Coach of the Year is an annual Inland Valley Classic organization award, presented by Fox Sports Radio AM1350! The winner is selected by votes from both administrators and coaches within San Bernardino county.
Coach Cardosi led the Cats of Fontana Kaiser to an Historic season, finishing with a record of 14-2! Their epic CIF-SS Division 8 championship came with a thrilling field goal by Michael Mosqueda, leading Kaiser to a 38-35 victory! Fontana then went on to beat undefeated Eisenhower 48-40 earning its first trip to the State championship.
Unfortunately, after qualifying for the state championship, Kaiser traveled to Northern California and lost to Wilcox 41-27. The Fontana Kaiser power rushing attack featured star running back, Christian Hunter. He rushed for 204 yards in the state championship and finished the season with a record breaking 3,839 yards!
During halftime of the Inland Valley Hallof Fame All-Star Classic, Coach Bill Cardosi will be presented with his award. The game is scheduled for Saturday, January 26, 2019 (7PM) at A.B. Miller High School.
