Agua Caliente Clippers Recap 11/21/2017

ONTARIO, CA—The Agua Caliente Clippers (4-3) used 43-percent shooting from the three-point line to snap a two-game losing streak and as they topped the Long Island Nets (4-4) 102-93 at Citizens Business Bank Arena on Tuesday night.

“We were able to put together some stops,” said guard Tyrone Wallace, who led the Clippers with 21 points. “Everybody was rotating and flying out on defense and forcing them into taking tough shots. On offense, we just made the extra pass. Everybody was sharing the ball.”

After shooting 44-percent from range in the first half, the Clippers took a seven-point lead into the third quarter and led by as many as 15 points before Long Island made a 16-2 run that would see the Clippers trailing by one point heading into the fourth. A driving dunk from Marshall Plumlee sparked an 11-1 run with just under six minutes left to play and the Clippers were able to hold off the Nets to secure their fourth victory of the season.

Brice Johnson recorded his second double-double of the season, pouring in 15 points and grabbing ten boards, while LaDontae Henton and J.J. O’Brien added 15 and 14 points, respectively. Plumlee had ten rebounds to go with eight points, nearly missing his double-double of the season.

The Clippers hit the road to take on the Austin Spurs on Friday night in a 6 p.m. PST tip at AT&T Center.
