POMONA – The No. 1 CSUSB Coyotes kept it rolling on Tuesday night, with an impressive 3-0 win at Cal Poly Pomona.
The Yotes started strong with a 25-10 set one win, then took set two 25-20 and set three 25-19. The Coyotes hit .433 and held CPP to .091, while serving five aces, led by Marlee Nunley with two. Alexis Cardoza was unstoppable, recording 19 kills while hitting .545, as she had just a single error in 33 attempts. Sascha Dominique had no errors in 11 attempts, and eight ended in kills.
Moira Murphy had a single error in 19 attempts and had eight kills as well. The Yotes also led in blocks 9-2, with Dominique getting six and Mikaela Grove blocking five.
The win began a busy week for the Coyotes, who head back home for the weekend beginning with CSU Dominguez Hills at 7 pm on Friday. Live links are on CSUSBathletics.com.
