Riverside, Calif., — The Riverside County Coach of the Year is an annual Riverside Sheriffs’ Association award, presented by Fox Sports Radio AM1350! The winner is selected by votes from local media, administrators and coaches within Riverside county.
23 months without having won a game, Coach Esposito led the Temecula Valley Golden Bears to victory on the opening game of the season. During an interview on Fox Sports AM1350, Coach Esposito said the Players and the Community were ready to embrace a winning culture. The Golden Bear made it to the CIF-SS Playoffs and won their first game, ending the season with a overall record of 6-6.
In addition, University of Wyoming commit, senior Quarterback Easton Gibbs will be named Riverside County Player of the Year. Leading the Golden Bears with 1,619 passing yards, 24 touchdowns and rushed for 734 yards, 9 touchdowns (per MAXPREPS).
During halftime of the 3rd Annual Riverside Sheriffs’ Association All-Star Classic, Coach Esposito will be presented his award alongside Easton Gibbs. The Game is schedule for Saturday, January 12, 2019 (7:30PM) at Ramona High School.
